A wealth of new products could be found at this year’s edition of Cosmoprof Asia. Key trends at the show included innovative anti-aging skincare products, such as The Skin Whisperer by Swiss company Mila d’Opiz. The product features a new anti-aging complex that stimulates the skin’s collagen and elastin production to boost firmness. Also in skincare, Korean brand Kicho showcased a range of natural creams and shampoos, which target sensitive and problem skin.
Organic or green products were a major feature at the show. Organic Spanish brand Naobay, which is Ecocert-certified, added to its facial-care line-up and also launched and organic spa and men’s line in September. Other brands presenting interesting organic products included US-based Atzen, which claims to blend organic plants and vitamins with high-tech ingredients, and French brand Melchior & Balthazar, a company that seeks out high-quality raw materials produced by small artisans around the world.
When it comes to make-up, products with skincare benefits remain a main trend. US-based brand Sormé Cosmetics presented a make-up base with anti-aging benefits. In color too, there were a range of lip products sporting hydrating, rejuvenating and volumizing ingredients. Vibrant colors and long-lasting shine were also key elements in the lip category.
The show was proof that the nail category continues to attract consumers, with 124 companies exhibiting in a dedicated area at the event. The focus was on new nail decoration techniques and nail art, especially textured nails and intricate designs.
In terms of packaging, convenient packs with added consumer benefits and multi-purpose items were strong features at the show. Taiwanese company Huaniya International for example, showed its LED light lip gloss container. The lip gloss applicator is equipped with an LED light and a side mirror so users can apply the lip gloss no matter where they are and in the dark.
