When it comes to the beauty industry, I’d say I’m a good mix of creator, innovator, and commercial strategist. My experience ranges from serving as a financial advisor, helping well-known brands understand and secure the resources they need to grow, to creating iconic culture in online publishing (ask me about “Break the Internet”). I’m also the Founder of skincare brand, Ernest Supplies, and have overseen the commercialization of BeautyMatter to become an essential beauty industry resource.

On one hand, I have a keen interest in the nuts-and-bolts side of the media and consumer industries and have advised on, written and spoken about things like investments, markets, operations, entrepreneurship and finance. This has given me a unique ability to spot opportunities for monetization, diversification and scaling.

On the other hand, I created the multi-award-winning skin care brand, Ernest Supplies. We were among the first skincare brands to embrace clean formulations long before it was commonplace in the industry. We were the first American skincare brand to launch products in eco-friendly pouches and have been committed to minimizing our eco-impact almost a decade before other skincare brands were contemplating sustainability. My prior fashion and consumer experience helped guide Ernest Supplies’ product creation as it relates to branding, packaging, messaging, design, and distribution.

My current role at BeautyMatter brings this 360-degree beauty, retail, finance, and media experience together. Our ethos at BeautyMatter is built on creating trust with both our audience and the clients we work with. Whether creating editorial or ideating creative marketing activations for a client, BeautyMatter is committed to “delivering what we promise” and we measure results from the perspective of being entrepreneurial brand owners ourselves. Our audience invests their time with us and in return we provide valuable content in a way that values both form and function – in other words, I ask “what would I want to know?”

I have previously held multiple board positions and am open to new board opportunities. I previously served on the boards of fashion retailers Intermix and AllSaints, and eyewear brands Morgenthal Frederics and Robert Marc. I’m also open to speaking opportunities, panel discussions or podcast appearances to share my unique insights. I’m always looking to expand my beauty network, including brands, retailers, suppliers, service providers and investors – especially those that are keen to challenge the status quo.
