Born in Antwerp (51 years old), Bart graduated from the University of Antwerp with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Post Graduate in International Politics.

He moved to China early 2003 and from China to Vietnam in January 2007 to serve on the Board of METRO Cash & Carry as Procurement Director Food and Own Brands and vice-President of the METRO Group. In 2012 Bart joined the company he is currently working for (MEDiCARE Vietnam / https://medicare.vn/) as Commercial Director and Board member.

Bart has been Chairman of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (BeLuxCham Vietnam / www.beluxcham.com) from 2019 till early 2025 and is currently on the Board of EuroCham as Delegate on behalf of BeLuxCham.
