11:00 – 11:35 | Roundtable 1: Brand Equity & The Investor Lens – What Acquirers Really Value

Abstract:

Why do some beauty brands sell for top dollar while others don’t? This session dives into the technical aspects of preparing a brand for a successful deal – from research and due diligence to navigating cultural challenges in cross-border M&A. Whether it’s a Western brand acquiring an Eastern brand or vice versa, panelists will share what makes a deal work. Real-life case studies from APAC’s most successful beauty M&A transactions will reveal critical success factors.

Key Discussion Points:

  • Preparing for a Deal: What research, agency support, and strategic planning are needed to make a brand acquisition-ready?
  • Cultural Challenges in M&A: What happens when a Western company acquires an Eastern company — or an Eastern company acquires a Western company? How can businesses navigate cultural differences?
  • Case Studies: Success stories from APAC’s beauty M&A landscape — what made them work, and what were the critical brand and financial factors?

11:35 – 12:10 | Roundtable 2: Omnichannel Retail Strategy – The Power of Offline Experience

Abstract:

Online offers reach and low entry costs. But offline gives you control – over brand equity, customer experience, and lasting relationships. As online margins shrink, smart beauty brands are rethinking physical retail. This session explores how leading brands create immersive offline experiences consumers actually want, and how to build an omnichannel strategy that drives real value.

Key Discussion Points:

  • Offline Experience Matters: Consumers are waiting for experiences, not just products. How do you deliver?
  • Online vs. Offline Trade-Offs: Online offers low barriers to entry but thin margins. Offline gives you brand control and customer loyalty. How do you choose?
  • Innovative Retail Models: Lessons from leading global retailers and travel retail innovators.
